MY EFFORTS TO FIND HOUSING ARE CRUMBLING MORE AND MORE EVERY DAY…TWO PEOPLE FROM REAL ESTATES HAVE BROKEN MY HEART WITH FALSE PROMISES OF HELP.
In June 2019 I went to a building in the Bronx, and I was attracted by the location, friendliness of the superintendent and good maintenance of the shared areas. This visit turned into a hope and an obsession to rent an apartment. On August 4, 2023, the super informed me that the 210 one-bedroom apartment was vacant. The super allowed a real estate agent Mr. Valdez and I to get to know the apartment, even though it needed some repairs. I took some pictures, and the agent gave me his business card promising to help me rent it. I emailed him all the documents required to rent. I felt like my dream of becoming a tenant of my admired building was beginning to come true.
After a week I
didn't hear from Mr. Valdez, I started calling him on the phone and he never
answered my calls. I went to the address of the office that had the card.
In this place there were cubicles with chairs that were rented by people
attending appointments. On the glass door was a picture of the agent's card and
he wasn't there. The super showed me apartment 202 telling me
that it would be available soon. On August 30, 2023, a new
real estate agent Mr. Jansel informed me that the apartment 210 had
been rented. I had no choice but to wait for apartment 202.
On September 7, 2023, the super informed me that apartment 202 had legal problems with the previous tenant who had decided to hand over the keys on September 11, the expiration date of the contract. On September 18, I had to be in the hospital due to surgery. On October 3, I texted the super with a photo from the hospital. On October 26, he told me that the apartments 211 and 202 were still available. On November 15, the apartment 202 had still not been rented. On November 17, I contacted Mr. Jansel and he asked me to bring on November 20, the required documentation to rent the apartment because he was going to help me get it. Two days later he told me that my application was in process, but since it was the Thanksgiving holiday week, he asked me to call him on Monday, November 27. He never answered my calls and ignored my messages. On November 29, 2023, the super informed me that apartment 202 had recently been rented.
It seems that my hopes and dreams are born out of misery to be further magnified by pain and suffering.
A GALLBLADDER SURGERY PUT ME THROUGH MORE MISERABLE SITUATIONS.
I was labeled “FALL RISK "and after two surgeries I was sent to a Rehabilitation Center. The therapist wanted to hold me up pedaling a bike for 15 minutes a day from Monday to Friday. A month in a hospital was enough for me and I decided to do my own discharge against medical advice.
The day I left the medical facility I had no place to sleep. I spent 9 hours sitting on a chair waiting for a bed. Next day I found out that my belongings were thrown out including my computer and some documents.
SEPTEMBER 2023 POST
MY LIFE ON DOCTORS HANDS AND THE MEDICINE …THE PAIN ATTACHED TO MY MISERY
I am writing this post from the bed at NC Hospital Bronx NY. (Hardly using my cell phone). A heavy back pain I had put me through a complicated gallbladder surgery. This pain started on August 22, 2023. Someone called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. A paramedic reported me as a drunk person and the pain was unattended by the emergency. (See previous post). I tolerated the pain with my own painkillers until September 18, 2023. I called a taxi to take me to the hospital. I was treated with painkillers and next day Tuesday early in the morning I was discharged from the hospital. I went to my storage in NJ to survive the pain. At midnight my pain becomes intolerable and Wednesday early in the morning I called an ambulance to take me back to the hospital. This day I got morfina and Percocet to relieve the pain. Late in the afternoon I had a Cat Scan test it showed my gallbladder inflamed and infected. I needed a surgery to remove it. Thursday I was knocked down by narcotics due to the increasing pain. The surgery couldn’t be done because the hospital had no water. On Friday afternoon the doctors made posible the surgery. I woke up from the anesthesia next day at 5 am causing worries to doctors and nurses. This day I couldn’t get up from the bed and I was labeled as a “Fall Risk person “ it have kept me in bed until I go to a Rehabilitation Center and a physical therapist assist me to walk.
The doctors found stones pilled up in my gallbladder that was attached to my liver. When they went to pull it up the gallbladder broke and the stones spread out inside me. A doctor cut his finger and his blood mixed with mine. I am still with infection and is not coming out with antibiotics. There are discharges and stones where the gallbladder was and I need another surgery to remove it. I was scheduled for September 29 at another hospital but due to the flooding caused by rain is rescheduled for October 2, 2023.

A PARAMEDIC FROM FDNY AMBULANCE GAVE TO THE HOSPITAL A FALSE REPORT TO DAMAGE MY MEDICAL RECORD... A MANAGER AT EXTRASPACE STORAGE THREATENED TO TERMINATE MY LEASE IF I USE ELECTRICITY TO CHARGE MY COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE.

At the hospital Mr. Ehlberg ran to talk to a woman at the register desk, they looked at me frequently. A Spanish nurse approached me to ask what happened. I told her I was intoxicated with food. She immediately corrected me by telling me not to use the term INTOXICATION because it meant being under some substance. What I had was FOOD POISONING. I didn’t know it; In Colombia we use the term intoxication when food is ingested and causes damage to the stomach.
I have been a customer of Life Storage in New Jersey since 2012 and in New York since 2022. As of August 1st, 2023, Life Storage was bought out by ExtraSpace Storage. I've been charging my computer or cell phone using the building's outlets and this has never been an issue. In New Jersey there are several plugs at half the height of the unit. In New York there is only one socket near the front door, and it is necessary to use a ladder because it is very high. On August 12, 2023, I was charging my computer at New York storage when the new manager for ExtraSpace Storage Mr. Roberto Garcia informed me that I was no longer permitted to use the building’s electricity to charge my computer or phone as I did in the past with the previous administration. (I occasionally charge my computer twice a week). Mr. Garcia assured me that as a new manager he will change everything that the previous manager allowed customers to do because his performance has been a disaster.

TO MY FOLLOWERS OF MY BLOGS
January 31, 2023
The circumstances and the basic shortcomings to lead a decent life have not allowed me to write on my blogs or have the courage to tell the misery that currently haunts me.
2- The street. Since I don't have a place to prepare my food and I don't have a fridge to keep it, I have to walk through several places to find something to eat. When the temperature allows me to stay outside, I eat in a park since most of my meals are fast food.
3- I sleep in a room with 6 women, we had a quiet environment until October 14, 2022, when an African American lesbian came to the room. Her attitude as a scandalous man, involved in other people's affairs and with cursing language intimidated the whole group. This woman has not only verbally attacked me, but also a 70-year-old roommate. We were both attacked for asking her to lower her high tone of voice in a phone conversation.
